As part of a dedicated effort to strengthen Bangladesh’s healthcare frontline, Shomvob Technologies Ltd, in collaboration with Swisscontact Bangladesh’s ASTHA project, they hosted a sensitisation event at Prasaad Paradise Hotel in Cox’s Bazar.

With a particular focus on community paramedics, the gathering allowed employers and health-related stakeholders to learn about the Shomvob and Swiss contact ASTHA collaboration’s recent initiatives to enhance paramedic job opportunities. The partnership seeks to improve Paramedics’ employability and skill set, ultimately contributing to the resilience of Bangladesh’s healthcare system.
The event featured inspiring stories from two successful Community Paramedics, Rohama Begam and Mehedi Hasan Munna, currently employed with Research, Training and Management (RTM) International, Cox’s Bazar. They shared their journeys, reflecting on the challenges they overcame, and the valuable skills gained through their Community Paramedic courses, which helped them secure fulfilling roles within the healthcare sector.

He noted that this type of initiative is groundbreaking and has the potential to create a lasting impact on healthcare delivery in Bangladesh.
